International Womens Day

Rosemary Karuga (1928 – 2021)
Annabelle Wanjiku Reeno (1955 – 2021)

This exhibition is in honour of the lives of two leading contemporary Kenyan women artists who dedicated their lives to telling life-changing stories using their art. Rosemary Namuli Karuga and Annabelle Wanjiku Reeno are renowned as pioneers in their unique areas of artistic excellence. The National Museums of Kenya is showcasing the best of both artists from its collection. The exhibition will open to the public on 8 March 2021, to coincide with International Women’s Day and will run until 31 May 2021.
