Castings (0 Items)
East Africa, long since held as home of the ancient origin of human development, boasts some of the most significant fossil sites in the world.  NMK holds many of the most important hominid, hominoid and cercopithecoid fossils.  Many of these impressive fossils from sites throughout East African are now available as high quality casts. The casts are reproduced with precision in order for them to be helpful for scientific research, teaching and exhibits. Casts are ideal for museum exhibits, as aids for teaching and for research purposes.

Ideal for both teaching and display purposes, the casts are available in fibreglass or plaster of Paris.  The fibreglass casts can be ordered in either fibre-glass (natural or neutral colours), or in plaster of Paris. Casts with the appropriate details provide an excellent alternative to the originals. The originals are both too valuable and too fragile to be handled frequently, and they are of course irreplaceable.
